It was a beautiful evening and we thank everyone in our community who came to help us celebrate Mayfest 2017! Over a 100 folks from far and wide dined on a tasty BBQ dinner prepared by The Big Wierzbowski (kudos to Joe and his team!). The Heggenes Valley Boys charmed us with their joyful acoustical sounds and delightful lyrics (gotta love a song about living in Clinton). And then we turned up the volume and danced to the rock and blues sounds of Freeborn.
Raffle winners will be enjoying wine and spirits tasting events compliments of Comforts Winery and Whidbey Island Distillery, handcrafted serving bowls and glass carafes with handcrafted wood stoppers thanks to Turnco Wood Goods, chocolates from Sweet Mona’s, fresh bagels from Whidbey Island Bagel Factory, discounts at Island Nosh, DQ ice cream cake, haircuts from Deb’s Hare Today and a pedicure at Clinton Nails.
Mayfest is, of course, our annual fundraiser. And, we owe a huge THANK YOU to all our community sponsors. Please patronize these businesses and be sure to thank them in person for being a community supporter! Thanks to Doe Stahr of Deer Creek Studio for providing the handpainted table coverings and wall hangings.
And, we thank the board members and volunteers who helped put this event together for the community and to raise funds for improvements and maintenance of the Clinton Community Hall. The hall is available for community and private events, a true gathering place in Clinton.
