The Clinton Library presents Gloria Two-Feathers, storyteller, author, and teacher. Her storytelling performance will include three coyote wisdom stories: Standing Nation, Coyote is a Dancer, and Coyote and the Monster.
Standing Nation- This story is influenced by the timeless wisdom of Native American myth that highlights our relationship to all living things. It’s about clear cutting our forest and how a Great Grandmother Tree survives and repopulates the forest.
Coyote is a Dancer- Coyote can hear the music in everything. Those who have forgotten how to listen thinks he’s crazy when he begins to dance. Because they cannot hear the music.
Coyote and the Monster- Everyone is spellbound when Coyote appears and becomes the storyteller. The Great Trickster begins to weave his magic and has everyone laughing and the children giggling in no time at all.
After the performance children are invited to pet and wear the coyote robe and caregivers are invited to take photos.
